Kindly enlighten me about plab…I simply heard that its for canada…Nothing else…wen can one attempt…Is tat abt pg…

For working,in UK,and Canada also…it’s like a licensing exam.pg in UK is again very different

You’ll get license to practise in UK if you clear PLAB

Indians can directly give mrcs/mrcp directly . NO NEED FOR PLAB. After giving mrcp/mrcs u will become eligible to register yourself as a doctor in UK. No one can spoon feed u . All information is available in various forums. Search on Google. Go to UK GMC website for official details . Use Wikipedia.

If u give mrcp or mrcs u don’t need to waste time doing foundation year training. I.e. FY1 and FY2

U can give mrcp or mrcs right after mbbs. Indian pg isn’t valid there . Dnb specialist degree is valid so u can enter Midway into their training and become superspecialist.

UK pathway is complex and confusing. You have to understand it yourself then ask if u have any doubts. Don’t ask people to explain whole ramayana as it’s not possible . There are many ins and outs . Specific loopholes and shortcuts exist which only seniors may tell if they like u or want to help.

There is a provision whereby if u have done extensive research to gain frcp/frcs without any training and be eligible to practice in UK if u just pass mrcp/mrcs and then get general license and specialist registration.

There are many such experiences and helpful blogs out there use Google. If u can’t do this much no one can help u

Stop acting dumb… If u don’t know anything then don’t reply rather than telling him to search for himself

Wat i can say… u should simply reply… like… read this particular blog…If u know something it doesn’t mean u r the one…and no one forces u here…fuckoff…!!Mind ua words…

I’ve already put link of one blog which was previously referred by someone else in this page as it’s the best I’d read.

No need to get abusive if u can’t handle some good advice. I was also like u 2 years back and on USMLE forum lot of foreigners there and they all said the same thing first read , search look and if having doubts ASK. Same thing I told u.

I already have said I’m not the one and only authority THERE ARE VARIOUS INS AND OUTS in the process , which can be elaborated upon by some senior or personal acquaintance; but usually these people don’t divulge such information freely.

We need to learn from our counterparts in other countries, while they become very independent , we are stuck to abusing people for critical advice.

After completing Internship in India, if I want to do speciality in Medicine (MRCP Medicine)…then what should be done or pursued?? Many are saying that Indian graduates do not need to attend PLAB…Is it so??

If yes, how can I do MRCP Medicine…?? There are 3 parts of the MRCP exam (MRCP 1, 2, PACES) . How to enter and complete the MRCP training to be the specialist in Medicine??

There are non-speciality and core training…how to complete these ??

Kindly throw some light… because this route is somewhat really complex.

first make it clear to yourself that MRCP doesn’t mean a specialist in medicine…and no where in the world it is equivalent to a specialist in internal medicine…it’s just an exam which judges your proficiency so that you have the basic level of knowledge to pursue a specialization in medicine…so in UK qualifying MRCP…just enable you to begin your specialization training and is not a specialization by itself

PLAB is for the UK. Getting into the UK is very easy these day’s because of the massive number of job vacancies.

I’ve made this website to help and guide others. If you still have questions, after going through the website, feel free to post them on this thread. :slightly_smiling_face:
