Oct. 29 event: Immigrant Physicians’ barriers to licensing: Incompetence or Discrimination?

Dear Colleagues,

As you may know, we (Canadian On Paper Society for Immigrant Physicians Equality) have recently been working closely with MOSAIC, one of the largest settlement non-profit organizations in Canada, to advance our activities in fighting discrimination against IMGs under the name IMG Advocacy Alliance.

The IMG Advocacy Alliance will be running a virtual conference on Oct. 29, 2020 . On behalf of International Medical Graduates (IMGs) Advocacy Alliance, we would like to invite you to a Community Dialogue on Immigrant Physicians’ barriers to licensing: Incompetence or Discrimination?

International Medical Graduates (IMGs) Advocacy Alliance

Our vision is to make access to the medical profession competency-based to significantly reduce the discrimination faced by international medical graduates (Canadian citizens or permanent residents) who are graduates of an international medical school, (i.e. outside of Canada or the United States), and increase their opportunities to contribute and practice in Canada. MOSAIC is hosting and convening the IMGs Advocacy Alliance which is in its early stage of formation.
