• Colleagues looking after pt
STAGE in palliative care
• At the beginning – just had BBN/just came to terms with Dx
• Few weeks down the line – just start to understand condition/make decision to
stay home or hospice/wonder what happens next
• Last week of life – worry about the aftermath of them passing away/future of
family/ last few days Sx/dying
TYPE of palliative care
• Physical: Sx control/pain control/nausea control/feeling unwell
• Emotional/Mental: Depression/anxiety/fear
• Practical: Support system/carer/financial/hospice
1ST HALF
