Scabies is an infestation caused by Sarcoptes scabies scabiei mite.
It lives its entire life in epidermis.
Patient comes with complains of generalised itching all over the body, that aggravates at night.
On examination, diffuse papules and excoriation marks are seen on web spaces on hands and legs, genitals, cubical fossa, abdomen (peri-umbilical), and axilla.
These area together form an imaginary line called “Circle of Hebra”.
Treatment :
⁃ Oral tablet Ivermectol 200ug/kg
(available only as 12mg tablet in market)
⁃ Permite 5% cream.
(Overnight application , all over the body below chin)
