SECURING FIRST JOB IN UK :
Its neither catastrophically impractical nor amazingly smooth.
It might be tending towards tougher , as more people are taking UK career route.
But if you have GMC registration,then you will get a job sooner or later.
From GMC registration to 1st job , is another journey, its an exam in itself,which can take anywhere from 2 months to 7-8 months or an year .
It will include several rejections, over flooded applications etc .
It will include instantaneous victories and jobs on first few applications.
No pathway will be a bed of roses .
No pathway will be impossible.
Unfortunately, there will be people who will completely fail as well. But now,and for many years to come,this number will be extremely marginal.
Crux is to have realistic expectations from yourself,the process itself and the situation you are in. Then you can work according to what the ground reality is.
I base the above on my 3+ years experience in NHS , which includes both a job and training and continuous staying in touch with aspiring and new NHS Doctors.
