Stigma of COVID19 is worst than the disease itself. Middle class people always have fear of neighbour’s opinion and neighbours see a COVID positive patient family members as terrorist. They feel that the patient and their family are carrying nuclear bomb to kill others.
Especially the fear of ambulance coming to their residence and personnels from ambulance getting down wearing PPE kit to take the patient. Nobody wants to see that kind of drama. Shop next door won’t sell milk to the neighbours of the patient’s apartment and they see them as the traitors too. Thanks to media and social media which is killing more people than the disease itself by spreading the fear.
Here is the story of COVID patient family from Hanumanthnagar in Bengaluru who doesn’t want ambulance coming near their residence and walked to main road. After reaching main road Patient collapsed n died, nobody came to help them. Body drenched in the rain and ambulance reached only after 3 hours of the death.
