✓Catheter is a Soft Thin Hollow Tube made up of Soft plastics material inserted into your Bladder to passes urine freely.
✓The Catheter Collects Urine from the bladder and Drains into a Drainage Bag.
Urinary Catheter comes in different Sizes & types:-
- Rubber
- Plastic( PVC )
- Silicone
✓Catheter is Recommended when a person is suffering from problem in which he or she Cannot empty their Urinary bladder, in case of Urinary Tract Disease & when Anesthesia is given to a patient leads to loosing his CNS control on the Involuntary & Voluntary action on the Smooth muscle, Internal urethral sphincter muscle & External urethral sphincter muscle.
✓Emptying the Bladder is very necessary to prevent Infections & for Healthy Kidney.If the bladder do not emptied then urine Creates hydrostatic pressure on kidneys which may leads to Kidney Failure in which More than 90% of Nephrons are lost.
✓Elderly People who lose their control on the Urinary system or Severe illnesses Looses their urine frequently,Catheters are Recommended.
