Sleep paralysis.

What do you call it?? ((according to your popular beliefs)).

The person is conscious and awake but is almost completely immobilized. The episode of sleep paralysis lasts between seconds and minutes; the person then returns to his normal state, either spontaneously or as a result of external stimulation.
The inability to make a movement, to scream, to prevent your surroundings and, in some cases, the appearance of suffocating hallucinations or choking, makes this experience often associated with feelings of fear and anxiety.
