PLAB
The Professional and Linguistic Assessments Board test, or aka PLAB is a licensing exam of the General Medical Council UK for International medical graduate (Img).
Who can take PLAB?
Anyone who graduated from a Medical college outside of the UK, European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland. But make sure you read thoroughly Before you apply
How many parts PLAB has?
PLAB has two part PLAB 1 and PLAB 2.
What is PLAB 1?
PLAB 1 is a written exam made up of 180 mcq scenario based question and candidate must answer them within three hours. Each question will come with 5 options and you have to choose the most correct one.
What is the requirement of taking PLAB 1 test?
- You can take PLAB 1, just after you passed your final medical exam (Before internship- but which is not recommended)
- You have a valid certificate of IELTS -7.0 in each segment and an overall score of 7.5 Or Occupational English Test (OET) – grade ‘B’ in each segment

Where can you take PLAB 1?
A candidate can take a PLAB 1 test 4 times in UK center (London) and only 2 times in the overseas centers.
