Neurotransmitters
A endogenous chemicals released by one neuron (Brain cells) that affects another neuron or an effector organ (e.g., muscle, gland, blood vessel).
Neurotransmitters are made in the cell body of the neuron and then transported down the axon to the axon terminal.
