A glioma is a kind of brain tumor that originates from glial cells, which support and nourish neurons in the brain. Gliomas account for about 25 percent of #childhood_cancers, and most gliomas are both highly treatable and highly curable.
Like most primary brain tumors, the exact cause of gliomas is not known. But there are some factors that may increase your risk of a brain tumor.
Types of glioma include:
