TRD ( Tractional retinal detachment )
TRD is seen in advanced stages of diabetic eye disease.
Fibrovascular structures gradually develops over the surface of retina, which starts contracting and pulling the retina.
Diagnosis - Made clinically by a Retina specialist .
Management - Small focal tractions can be observed on regular followups.
Massive TRDs are managed with Vitrectomy with Membrane dissection /delamination with endolaser.
