AIMSA Writes to Union Health Minister to Extend Internship Completion Deadline for NEET PG 2024 Candidates to August 31

The All India Medical Students’ Association (AIMSA) has written to the union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya to extend internship completion deadline for aspiring NEET PG 2024 candidates to August 31, 2024.

“The current internship completion deadline of August 15, 2024, has left numerous medical students facing a daunting challenge, being only a few days away from meeting this cutoff. Recognizing the significance of adherign to standards in medical education, we propose a reasonable extension of the internship completion date to August 31, 2024,” reads AIMSA letter to Mansukh Mandaviiya.

The students’ union said that the extension would ensure equal opportunities for aspiring doctors across the nation, fostering a fair and inclusive environment for the NEET PG 2024 examination, added AIMSA.

The registration process for NEET PG 2024 is expected to begin in the first week of May 2024. The application process 2024 includes registration on the official website, filling the application form, uploading of documents, and payment of registration fee. The application feee is INR 5,015 for General and OBC, and INR 3,835 (Inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PWD/Physically Handicapped.

The NEET PG 2024 exam has been postponed to July 7, 2024. Earlier, it was scheduled for March 3, 2024. The NEET PG 2024 admit card is likely to be uploaded on June 2024.
