At topic Liver part -1 , its mentioned impending rupture is an indication for aspiration in liver abscess …but the same impending rupture is contraindicated for PAIR technique for Hydatid cyst. Is it correct sir?
Yes because aspiration only such cases can lead to rupture and leak of hydatid fluid which can lead to anaphylaxis and peritoneal spread
Yes Because there’s increased risk of spillage of cyst content and anaphylaxis if PAIR is done in case of Impending rupture-hydatid cyst and there’s no such risk with any liver abscess
