BLACK DAY PROTEST: Joint Press Release by FAIMA and State RDAs of India
This is to apprise everyone of the historic decision by junior and resident doctor associations all across the country to unitedly participate in a nationwide protest movement on June 1, tomorrow. While multiple sporadic initiatives have been undertaken by multiple RDAs, it was necessary that the stakeholders of modern medicine come together united. We, the representatives of the major RDAs of India along with FAIMA hereby declare June 1, 2021 as a Black Day wherein we will formally register our protest against the venomous allegations and disheartening mockery of our martyred colleagues by our nation’s biggest threat after the coronavirus - an unscrupulous self proclaimed leader and unprincipled businessman - Ramdev! The undersigned are Residents of major medical institutions of the country and are Representatives of major RDAs of the India, with representation from Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Bihar, Kashmir, MP and Orissa. Already multiple other RDAs have extended their support to FAIMA through their letters and releases. We call upon all other RDAs and Medical Associations to join us in this demonstration!
