Who will conduct NEET PG 2017?

What will be the format of NEET PG exam?

Which states and colleges will fall under NEET PG?
NEET PG is mandatory for all states and medical colleges. Even private colleges will fill their seats through NEET merit list.
Management seats and NRI seats will also fall under NEET.

Following institutes do not fall under the scope of NEET and will continue conducting their own exam:

Will NEET PG also be used for DNB admissions?
DNB CET exam will be replaced by NEET PG this year and all DNB admissions will be done through NEET.
However, other DNB exams like DNB PDCET and DNB SS will continue as usual.

What about the Management Seats?
The number of Management seats will remain unchanged according to the current regulation governing admission to UG/PG seats.
However, management seats will be allotted based on NEET scores and somebody who has not cleared NEET PG cut off will not be eligible for it.
Will All India Quota Increase or remain same?
The All India Pool for UG is 15% of the Seats under Central/State Government Institutions and 50% for the PG seats. Rest 50% seats will be filled by state counseling using NEET scores.

Will NEET PG be made an exit exam for MBBS graduates?
Though the government has started working to make this possible but this is still just a proposal right now. It’s highly unlikely that it will be implemented this year.
When will NEET Super Specialty be conducted?
NEET SS 2017 will be organized in May-June 2017.
What about Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir?
Andhra Pradesh, Telangana & Jammu and Kashmir have been bestowed a special status wherein these states do not contribute their Medical PG Seats to the All India 50% pool and as a result, Medical Graduates from these states cannot participate in the All India Quota.
However, admissions in these states will be done through NEET scores only.
Will NEET PG replace FMGE?
This is also a proposal by government and will not likely be implemented this year. We have to wait for more details on this.
How will NEET PG be different from AIPGMEE?
The level of competition will increase. NEET PG is expected to be taken by more than 1.1 lakh candidates while AIPGMEE was taken only by 70,000 candidates.
Having said that, your chances of getting a PG seat through merit will increase since many seats will be saved that were otherwise sold by private colleges.
