Factoids on pediatric screening!
- All pts with turners need all 4 limb BP measurement and ECHO
- All pts with T1DM needs TSH screening every 1-2y
- All newborns <32weeks gestation need Cranial U/S at 1-2 weeks
- All infants need strabismus screening at every visit until 5 years (it is Normal <4m due to weak EOM but not after 4m)
- All children need screening for vision annually starting from 3-4y
- Autism screening for all at 18m-2y;
- Depression screening at 12y
- Everyone needs Lipid screening at 9-11 y and again at 17-21y;
- Educate about safe sex practices and contraception at 1st adolescent visit
