For anyone who was unable to book PLAB 1 seats yesterday:
• DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED
Taking your exam a few months late will not make a huge difference. I had to wait for two years for my PLAB 2 visa. And if I can wait for two years for my visa, you can wait a few months for PLAB 1.
• UTILISE THIS TIME
If you feel you have too much time, why not think about taking a Royal College exam? So when you are done with PLAB, you would have an edge over others as you would’ve completed a part of your Royal College exam. This will add to your CV, knowledge, skills and confidence.
• BOOK THE NEXT AVAILABLE PLAB 1
And, of course, book the next available PLAB 1 as soon as dates open. Keep an eye on the GMC website and Facebook page for this. Also stay updated on the relevant Facebook groups.
