For his age (2a+8) should b 12, but he is 11kg and no other SAM features are mentioned

what should b the answer for this question? For his age (2a+8) should b 12, but he is 11kg and no other SAM features are mentioned.

I think the ans should be D. There r no danger signs, chest indrawing acc to recent IMNCI is included in Pn (earlier sev Pn) hence, yellow catagory. Not an emergency nd should be given oral Ab nd asked to come back if worsens.

Fast breathing + chest indrawing( without hypoxia) come under yellow category,

And for that no need to refer to tertiary institutions

But what is the danger sign here? Weight of the child is also normal. Dr Singaram sir what should b the answer?

Fast breathing for age

Chest retractions

Ss may go into distress

1st dose AB + referral
