Guys can anyone elaborate how is an orthopaedics residency actually like… … How much of the week is actually spend in the OT?.. What is a typical day like?
The most hectic I have seen 
Usually most hospitals have 3 units.
So per unit 2 admission days in a week plus a rotational sunday.
Admission days look like
Morning rounds followed by opd followed by emergency OTs, plus if you work in a hospital with dedicated trauma center then one pg is supposed to be there always.
Post ad day looks like morning rounds followed by procedures in reduction room like removal of casts and slabs, k wire removal, reductions…
Then comes OT day…which can go on till evening…
Then another admission day comes and the cycle repeats…
Residents are very sleep deprived… hardly gets 20 hours a week
