Has the pandemic and the UK Government’s treatment of frontline doctors during the crisis impacted your decision to stay within the NHS or apply to join the NHS?
I’m heartbroken to read messages from doctors who feel so let down by this Government that they are considering leaving the NHS. From IMGs who have worked so hard in getting through PLAB etc only to feel now, with the way the UK Govt has treated IMGs that they no longer want to come to the UK. My inbox is full of them.
DAUK has been asked to give the view of frontline doctors on the Government’s response to COVID-19 in Parliament as well as recommendations going forward to look after our workforce. We don’t think the Government realise the seriousness of this recruitment and retention situation or the impact of decisions like a NHS pay rise that excludes doctors or a refusal to extend ILR to doctors.
For that reason we are running this poll. If you can spare 2 minutes we would love to hear your thoughts on this survey. It’s super quick and you can be as honest as you want. All answers will be kept anonymous.
