I am an intern of KPC MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL, located in Jadavpur and presently we are facing the problem mentioned below. Please share this as much as possible and extend your support to your juniors and colleagues.
We, interns at KPCMCH, have gathered around the adminstration building to speak our voices against the management which has been looting what’s our basic right. We are being paid just Rs 7016 per month for our rotatory housemanship. The government sends Rs 28000 for 50 WBJEE seats which amounts to Rs 9926 per head if we divide it amongst the present 136 interns.
There’s a huge gap not only in that regard but also we are bearing a hell lot of expense for daily transportation. We are not given basic covid protection equipments for our daily use, which are itself expensive to buy each day. Even the other private colleges’ interns get Rs 14,500 per month, so why the parity?
