I am in the waiting period for my 3rd ACL graft while my bone grafts heal. What knee brace do have that you like or dont like? I need a brace with good support to keep my leg together as I have no ACL at all right now. My activity level is school teacher, grandmother of a 3 year old, farm chores, and training horses.
I didn’t use a brace after the first 3 weeks after a complete tear of my ACL. I did have a couple falls over the next 9 months but I’m really active, hiking and running agility. Spend the time doing PT to build all the muscles that support the knee. You’ll be better of going into surgery. My PT commented last week that I had hardly any muscle loss 2 weeks after surgery. But I also had a donor graft because of my age.
