Bleeding time is coz of temporary clot formation in the form of platelet plug…clotting time.denotes formation of.fibrin…firm clot

Bleeding time is based on platelet number and function, Whereas coagulation is coagulation factor dependent.

yes but the end result is dysfunction of normal clotting and hence bleeding time has to be increased right ?

bleeding during a major wound maybe increased

But bleeding time is a lab test where a small prick bleeds time to stop is measured… this bleed arrest can be done by platelets itself and hence wont detect coagulation factor deficiency … only clotting time is prolonged
