KARACHI: Medical experts at the National Institute of Cardiovascular diseases (NICVD) have successfully completed a complex heart operation on a 10-year-old boy who was critically injured after being stabbed into the heart.

Doctors at the National Institute of Cardiovascular have successfully completed a complex heart surgery to save the life of a 10-year-old boy. Rehan, a 10-year-old resident of Nawabshah, was severely injured when a knife penetrated into his heart. Due to which the condition of the child became serious and he was brought to NICVD in critical condition where pediatric cardiologist Dr. Abdul Sattar Sheikh examined him and recommended that an immediate surgery should be performed in emergency operation theatre.

The child was rushed to the emergency operating theater where a complex surgery was successfully completed. The operation was attended by NICVD pediatric cardiac surgeon Sohail Bangash, Dr. Abdul Sattar Sheikh and anesthesiologist Dr. Muhammad Amin Khawaja.

The parents of the child said that the child was going to his uncle’s house in Karachi. The children were playing among themselves when a knife accidentally penetrated the chest of a child. Went but everyone had answered.

Then the baby was brought to the NICVD, the doctors immediately performed a complex heart operation on the baby and saved his life.

Dr. Abdul Sattar Sheikh and Dr. Sohail Bangash said that the boy’s heart was injured but we did our best job and operated a very risky and complicated case. Thanks to almighty Allah that every thing went fine and boy is stable now…
