Most of the kolkata clgs are very substandard…No sophisticated inv are done, logistics is poor…faculty is bad…spclly in medical branches…i m frm mumbai,my rank was bit low… So did not get seat there… Bad luck…

Its actually true… i m not doing negative counselling…but academics is very poor here… and specially md branches, infrastructure is not good … Kolkata lags a lot in comparison to Delhi or Mumbai… and worst is 3 years bond… where first year is ok , it is institutional SR ship, next 2 years you will be posted at some rural hospitals and you have to do MO duties also irrespective of your branch… its good for surgical branches … but if you are considering md branches, better think twice,even think about DNB from good institutions…
