Neurosecretory granules
On Electron microscopy of neurosecretory granules will show “Membrane-bound dense core granules”.
They are characteristic of endocrine and neuroendocrine cells containing tumors like carcinoid, small cell cancer of lung, and pheochromocytoma.
Dense core neurosecretory granules consisting of neuroendocrine markers like chromogranin, synaptophysin, CD 57 and Bombesin.
