On examination he manifests a “strawberry tongue

A 4-year-old male patient is brought to the family doctor by his mother after 5 days of fever (101F), because of cracking and fissuring lips and bilateral painless conjunctivitis. On examination he manifests a “strawberry tongue,” unilateral cervical adenopathy, and redness and swelling of the palms of the hands. A rapid strep flocculation test and, 2 days later, a throat culture were “negative” (latter meaning no betahemolytic streptococcus growth). The fever remains over the next 2 days. Each of the following complications may occur during the next few days except for which one?

(A) Coronary aneurysm
(B) Myocarditis
© Pericarditis
(D) Valvular heart disease
(E) Coronary arteritis
