Passed PLAB 1 today Alhamdulilah

Passed PLAB 1 today Alhamdulilah.

I did plabable once only, and that too finsihed on the exam day because I had left Opthalmology and Anatomy for the exam day. However, I throughly read the explanations, and read topics from patient-info links provided with most of the answers.

I tried to do one swammy mock in between, and it depressed me because I could hardly answer any questions. But then a friend told me not to worry about it, and that’s what I did.

So, my advice:

  1. Plabable only. Read the explanations and the content provided in the links (patient-doctor info, Nice CK etc); make your own notes (Do atleast twice. I did once, and barely passed. There were many questions that I got wrong because I couldn’t remember the correct answers. If you do it twice atleast, you are sure to pass)
  2. Plab Keys. Alot of people are talking about them, but I didn’t use them.
  3. Time management is the key. Don’t skip any questions. I skipped questions I was confused about, and in the last half hour, I was left with 60 questions. 15 I marked without even reading the stem.

It is an easy exam; infact, it was the easiest to pass so far in my life.
Oxoford handbooks, samson and swammy etc. are just a waste of time.

Best of luck
