Stimulation of morphofunctional repair of the facial nerve with photobiomodulation, using the end-to-side technique or a new heterologous fibrin sealant

•End-to-side neurorrhaphy or new heterologous fibrin sealant + PBMT were evaluated.
•Experimental groups with PBMT obtained the highest morphometric means in nerve fibers.
•PBMT accelerated histological and functional nerve repair in both techniques.
