The body of a 21-year-old MBBS student of Muzaffarnagar Medical College, Kritika Chauhan, was found near a railway track in Begrajpur village, some distance from her college premises on Thursday night.
She was last seen leaving her hostel premises with a batchmate named Kunal Saini.
Police said her classmate has been arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by her father.
