This is a case of Taeniasis with Taenia saginata or the beef tapeworm

A middle aged female from a lower economical background came with the complaints of passage of motile worms due to spontaneous expulsion through anus.
Patient had also complaints of bloating and burping, vague abdominal pain and diarrhea alternating with constipation.
There were no other complaints of muscle soreness, epilepsy etc.
On enquiring she gave a history of recent beef consumption.
On examination her Hb: 7 gm/dL with mild eosinophilia (>500 eosinophils/microlitre).
Stool examination revealed: Bile stained eggs with thick radially striated coat having 3 pairs of hooklets. Microscopy of the motile segments revealed uterine branching with >15 lateral branches
