What is the difference between nbems- diploma and only diploma courses? Is both the courses are eligible for pd-cet exams for joining DNB?
Passing rate ka defferent hai …

Academically, PG diploma (only diploma) and NBE diploma are equivalent. Just like MD and DNB are academically equivalent.

PG diploma will be in medical colleges and final exam will be conducted by state university in same medical college, just like MD/MS final xm. NBE diploma can be in medical colleges, govt hospitals as well as private hospitals and final xm will be conducted by NBE in a independent hospital/college, just like DNB final xm.

Passing rates of NBE diploma isn’t yet available as 1st batch joined in 2021 nd will write final xm in Dec 23. But passing rates will most probably be more or less same as DNB passing rates of the same subject. And it will be much less than PG diploma courses for sure.

Since no batch has completed NBE diploma till now, till 2023 only PG diploma pass outs were allowed to write DNB PDCET. But hopefully, NBE will be allowing NBE diploma passouts to write PDCET from 2024. No confirmation from NBE yet. No response to emails with this query.

PG diploma seats have been greatly reduced. If u r filling choices in AIQ as UR, there r hardly 3-4 colleges in each subject having PG diploma seats. NBE is planning to convert all PG diploma seats to MD seats and in 2-3 yrs, there won’t be any PG diploma seats but only NBE dioloma seats
