In IGRA tests you said it helps to differentiate infected patients from vaccinated patients.But maam won’t INF Gamma be released by mem T cells…irrespective of whether the person is infected or vaccinated??..confused maam…please help.
IFN gamma is released on exposure to the MTB specific ags only when the patient is infected with MTB not when he is BCG vaccinated.
